The company launched quietly into the water...

The whole ethos and branding process behind the collaboration of the co-founders of the firm, was to start a global community project into the UK yachting fraternity than trying to set up a business and to make waves to be able to float. Media Friend became a very unique advertising portal for the yachting industry, as well as offering a global advertising website for all things nautical, it was able to stand on its own very quickly. Then in 2009 we developed Yacht Friend which was our first portfolio service created for the Super Yacht industry when we saw a niche sector in the market not being exploited or targeted by our competitors, after months of intense research at the Southampton and London Boat shows, we saw our opportunity and decided to take the plunge into the market.... and it was the best thing they ever did.

Media Friend makes waves and floats...

The entrepreneurs and owners of the Media Friend global portfolio of services are the best of friends, they met whilst working for BT Directories and had already built up several years of sales, marketing, customer service and financial development skills before they embarked on the yachting community portfolio branding experiment. The process of brand awareness normally refers to the customers' ability to recall and recognise the label under different conditions like its name, logo, jingles and so on. The strategy that was taken by Media Friend was not to be on the first page of every search engine out there, as we already knew that this was a tall order for such a huge industry, instead we focussed the companies resources on one portfolio brand which was Yacht Friend and built the business from that point onwards and it worked. You only have to search on Google for: Yacht Directory or Yachting Directory and we are on page one. We are not number one, but that will change in 2012 as we have a yacht SEO specialist working with us.

Media Friend was created to offer an alternative resource for everyone involved in the Yachting industry, whether you were a yacht owner, yacht captain, crew member, recruitment agency, advertiser or user to a yacht website... We saw an open opportunity to invest our money and time with a portfolio of services for the global yacht community and set to build it, so here we are today waiting for the tide to come in with new clients and friends to make for Media Friend, Yacht Friend, Marina Friend, Crew Friend and Date Friend. The tide is turning in our favour as we develop the brand of MF.
